An Arkansas Studies Bouquet: Mix of Free Resources and History Topics

Event Description:
FREE! July 31, 2012 8:30-3:30 (1 hour lunch) Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center, UCA Topics include the following: American Indians of Arkansas, Entrepreneurs of Arkansas, Arkanstories graphic novel, the Arkansas History Hub, helpful websites for Arkansas Studies and more! Free resources (such as maps, games, posters, etc.) will be provided for participants! The three hours in the morning will focus on Arkansas studies classroom resources, lesson plans and Power Points on American Indians of Arkansas and a lesson plan and Power Point on entrepreneurs of Arkansas. Training on the comprehensive website, Arkansas History Hub, will also occur. Please bring a laptop computer if you desire a “hands on” experience! This course will satisfy the Arkansas History PDU requirement. 6 PDUs will be awarded. Register at http://uca.edu/outreach/courses-events/
