Minority Enterprise Development Awards Reception October 2020 |
The annual Minority Enterprise Development Awards recognize the achievements of minority entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Conway area. Through this event, the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce aims to foster growth and sustainability of minority businesses and recognize minority businesses and their supporters.
The 2019 honorees were celebrated on Thursday, October 3, at an awards reception held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.
Held in partnership with UCA Public Appearances, the MED Awards included remarks by John Quiñones, renowned journalist, speaker, and host and creator of ABC’s What Would You Do? All MED ticket holders received admission to Quiñones’ lecture at Reynolds Performance Hall.

Outstanding Young Minority Professional: Dr. George Parks, Jr. | New Hope Baptist Church
Minority Executive of the Year: Marcus Elliott | Conway Regional Health System
Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Charlotte Green | University of Central Arkansas
